Preparation

Dough for Bread.
Add the flour in a bowl with a pinch of salt & add ¾ cup of water to it and mix well to make it like a dough. At the end add (1tsp) oil to make the dough smooth. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
Preparation of curry – Potatoes – carrot – onion – tomato and spices
Peel, wash and cut the potatoes in cubes. Boil them on the stove for 10 min to 15 min depending on the type of potatoes.
Peel and dice the carrot.
Peel and dice the onion.
Cut the tomatoes in 4 to 6 pieces.
Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil, add mustard seeds and let them pop! (this is important!). Then add cumin and chopped onions, stir & let fry for a minute.
Add the tomato pieces and the chopped carrot. Mix & close the lid for 5 minutes.
Once cooked, cut the potatoes in cubes and add them to the curry. Add coriander powder, chili powder and add 1 tsp. salt, mix well then add ¼ cup of water mix well & cover it with a kit let it cook in low flame for 5 minutes. After 5 mins add some coriander leaves and the curry is ready.
Preparation of chapati(Bread) :
Take the resting dough, make the dough into 4 small balls, sprinkle some flour on them.
With the help of a roller pin or wine bottle, make the dough pieces in a circular shape like tortillas and let them rest.
Heat the pan on the stove at medium heat and cook the chapati on both sides. When they are done, spread some butter on the chapatis.
Now the curry and chapati are ready to serve!
