Syrian green beans with new potatoes

arabic seven spices

Preparation

Potatoes

Wash the potatoes and cook them in salted water.

Beans

Wash the beans, chop off the ends and then proceed by cutting them into pieces.

Wash the tomatoes and slice them into big cubes.

Cook the beans for a few minutes in salted water, strain the water and quench with cold water.

Peel the garlic and finely dice it, mix with the cilantro and fry with some olive oil. Let it rest.

Cut the onions in dices, mix it with the seven spice and salt.

Heat up olive oil in a pan, fry the spicy onions, beans, tomatoes and the tomato paste for a while, add a little bit of water and combine with the mixture of garlic and cilantro. Cook all together for around 20 minutes. Add some black pepper and serve the beans with the young potatoes
